Great day at church. We spent some time with the chicks. We lost our little fella that needed some help out of his shell. It was really sad. Even though he was only in this world for a couple of hours, he was really special cause he was the only chick that we got to watch his birth. We were really sad. We buried him next to Rose. We have lived here nearly five months and buried two animals. Sigh. Anyway...so our total count is 7 chickees. The remaining eggs...6...did not hatch. Which is not uncommon. Usually there is a 50-75% fertility rate in a clutch of eggs, so we thought it was pretty good. Anywho...just a couple more pics. We are loving watching them. Blanche is showing them how to scratch around and stuff. It's cute. They are so smart! I love this pic. The look on the chicks face in the back, the clarity of Blanche's feathers and the blur of a fluff ball in front. Too cute!

We went to my great Aunts for a memorial day picnic. It was great. Excited for another day off work Monday.
