Organic Cooking

There really is a difference when you cook with the right ingredients. Before we began to care about the food we ate both shopping and cooking were a chore. We feel not only better about the food we are buying, but feel better after eating it as well. Quality ingredients cost more and a result we are purchasing and consuming less food. This has actually been a good thing. Many would say that price is why they can't afford to purchase quality ingredients. I would say ask yourself this, "How much do I value myself, my family, and those who produce my food?" Is it worth an extra dollar or two to know that toxins so dangerous that farmers don't go into their own fields for 5 days for their own safety aren't on my plate? If you think that sounds extreme ask the farmers who do just that to produce blemish free potatoes for McDonald's French Fries. Below are some of our cooking adventures thus far. I am pleased to say that they have really all been very successful. I have also discovered the Cast Iron Skillet. Few pans are built to withstand the heat of both the stove and oven. It is so versatile. I highly recommend having one.
