Well it's been busy around here. This little cutie started day care and I went back to work. Boo.
This was his first day with Ms. Juetta. Her son told him all about amphibians. He was a good listener. He loves being talked to! We are so pleased with our sitter so far. She is close to home and sends us pics throughout the day. He always looks happy. It helps get me through the day.
So we had some ice and snow hit. And it was oh so lovely. We got to ride to work together and this was my work parking lot. Nice. Not so nice...was realizing that our pipes at home had frozen. That was on Monday....two Monday's ago...and when it thawed, we sure enough had a busted pipe. And it was a while before the plumbers could come. And then they came and fixed it. And I got all excited. After a week and a half away from home, we packed up all our stuff and got home. And realized we could hear water. Turns out another pipe had burst on the other side of the house. So being home was short lived. We are back at the parents. It's been another couple days...the latest is there is about 5 inches of water standing under the house. After some digging and pumping it out....it's not fixed yet. We are now at 2 weeks. Very thankful to have a place to stay where we are really spoiled (thanks mom and dad!) but this girl is just ready to be back in my home. Until then...we'll have some quality time with the folks. It was pretty though....this was our road on the 2nd day. That's solid ice.
