What a fun weekend! We spent Friday night with Sister, Bob and Mayla just hanging. Got up early Saturday and headed to Louisville to try to see lots of friends. Spent the morning with Gina, Amber and the boys. Loved seeing them! Such a beautiful day to spend with fabulous friends.
Oh Joshua. I think he has an "I'm sleeping photo" with every babe he's ever held. :) Lil Ellie didn't mind. She is the sweetest!
Then we met up with Paula and Adam at Whole Foods. We sat outside and snacked on some yummy desserts. Adam convinced us to go try the "best burger" we'd ever eat. So we went to the Holy Grale on Bardstown Rd. They served this burger from Marksbury Farms...one of the places we love near home. They have delicious meats!
The Holy Grale was awesome. It's in this old church that was beautiful. husband was excited cause his pop had real sugar. :) But this....was the best burger we've ever had. Adam didn't lie!
OH! Funny story... we thought we ordered some fried pickles as an appetizer....turns out, it was a pickled plate. Pickled apricots, carrots, quail eggs, olives..and other stuff that I have no idea what it was. Josh loved it. I thought the bread and apricots were good. This was one of our fav parts of the trip. We love having fun experiences like this together.
After eating, we spend a couple hours (for real) at Babies R Us trying to order some things. It was an ordeal. But we finally did, then we headed out to the Brooks house. We went to the PRP Ice Cream place and had some yummy snicker doodle ice cream. It was a treat! Then we settled in to chill out and watch old office episodes. Fun times!
Frank and Josh before we headed to the joint shower Sunday to celebrate our lil fella and the upcoming nuptials of Lisah and Keith with the group of gals that Josh went through grad school with.
Baby shower area!
Wedding shower area!
Josh and some of the gals, watching Lisah & Keith!
Heather and me after the shower. We so appreciated these fabulous gals throwing this celebration. Yummy food and great company. It was good to see them all again! We got on the road shortly after.
Hard to believe we are at 34 weeks. I feel like I say that every week. Gosh how time flies!!
Glad to be back home. We are wore out. Love visiting our friends in the ville. Probably our last trip there before he arrives. EEK!
