Playing Catch Up

I know an excuse is an excuse but seriously....slow internet speed is for the birds. Either way...here's what we've been up to the last couple months. Mom and I dressed up as robbers for Homemakers Halloween! We have a fun group. Check out some of those costumes!

The pups are still around here. Crazy as ever!

The look of the woods keep changing. We had some fun times in the fall. This was painting pumpkins at our friends house!

Our Louisville buddy Sean was in Danville doing a comedy show. So glad we got to see him!
The biggest event was celebrating David Monroe's 1st birthday! We sang to him so many times that day. When he woke up in the morning, after every nap and at every meal!

He painted his first painting. Under all that paint is some tape that has his birth date on it. We peeled it off and in the midst of those lovely colors, it says 10.29.2014. He had a big time!
 Birthday Pancakes!!!!!!
Trunk or Treat at our church. DM with his sweet friend Lydia!

Actual party day. We chose a baseball theme since our little guy was born during the World series and our team won!It seemed only fitting. :) We had our family together, had some "stadium" type food, autographed the game day ball and made him a time capsule!

I made our shirts for the party. woohoo!

It was such a fun, celebratory week. How a year has passed already, is crazy. At his 12 month appointment he weighed 18.9lbs and was 28 3/4in. long. His favorite foods are pumpkin granola bars, apples, pancakes and these yummy basil noodles. He loves playing with anything that has wheels. He sleeps great (most of the time!) He's just so cool. It has been a wonderful blessed year having him in our lives.
Just teaching May how to eat popcorn! And of course we had to have a pic of them in their costumes. Cousin cuteness!
 Another view of the woods.
Just a few of his one year pics that my friend Allison took. She is most wonderful. Don't know what I'd do without her!

I mean, was this not gorgeous? That cloud was amazing!

This is the last photo we have of Grandad, a week before David Monroe's birthday. Josh's grandad started going down hill quickly so we celebrated DM's birthday early with him. I love this picture so much. DM played on the bed with grandad and we had cupcakes. It was a sweet time.
Nov 7, Grandad passed. He was a precious man and left a wonderful legacy. We miss him so much. We traveled to Ohio for his celebration service and got to see a lot of family. The Holcomb boys, Cousin Ash and the sweet kiddos.
 Brothers & Cousins
Sweet Aunt Anna Belle. We love her. Was so glad we got to see her. She gave us a bag full of amazing cookies before our trip home. She is the sweetest.
 SILS & Cousins

 Breakfast with these silly kiddos

and now here it is....almost Christmas. DM didn't mind the Grinch at all first. He was probably thinking about how his heart grew 3 sizes.....
before remembering that he was in fact....a mean one....Mr. Grinch
I normally don't like the "crying kid" photos but he just started to get unhappy when the Grinch picked him up like this and honestly I think it's about the cutest thing ever. Plus, I am just really happy that DM felt like getting out and doing something Christmas-y. For the last two weeks he has had RSV and double ear infections and poor baby didn't feel good at all. He seems back to his normal self now and that makes us happy. We are so blessed and so thankful. Excited for Christmas and all that it means. Have a wonderful Christmas celebrating Christ's birth!
