No, we didn't have another dog show up on our porch. Josh was driving through Cumberland Falls and this beautiful black lab had been hit. Thankfully he got her to the nearest Vet who checked her over. At the time she was diagnosed with a brain injury and could not see. They weren't sure she would make it through the night. When Josh went back the next day, she had regained her eyesight, was eating and drinking and had gotten up a few times. She was very lethargic but he got to pet on her. The following day, a new Vet was caring for her (the other went to NOLA) and said he nearly put her down earlier that day but thanks to the Vet techs advocating for her, chose not to. She had a rough morning and there is something also going on with her front leg. Nothing broken though. Anyway, we are thankful for these techs!!! Saturday they were hoping that the lady who runs a Lab Rescue would be coming to get her. Anxious for Monday when we can find out how she did over the weekend. So super thankful for a husband who has the heart that he does for animals. I'm a firm believer that God loves ALL his creation and cares about how we treat them. Thanks to our friends, the Brooks, their family was able to try to find some owners but no one has stepped forward. Also thankful for amazing friends who share the same passion we do. Anyway, here is a pic of "Blackie". She is beautiful.

Keep praying for her continued recovery!
